Arbitration

  • International and domestic commercial arbitration in India and foreign seated arbitrations across SE Asia, Africa, Europe and Central America.
  • High value and complex arbitrations under the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, AAA, UNCITRAL and ICA Rules of Arbitration and ad-hoc arbitrations under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
  • Particular expertise in handling high value construction arbitrations relating to the construction of power plants, dams, highways, nuclear plants, mixed development projects etc.

Civil and Commercial Law

  • Entire range of civil and commercial matters including disputes relating to trade, property rights, trust, debt recovery, consumer disputes, tax matters etc.
  • Civil and commercial litigation in trial courts, the debt recovery tribunal, the debt recovery appellate tribunal, consumer forums, tax tribunals, land tribunals, the High Courts in Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi and the Supreme Court.
  • Regularly appear in courts outside of these cities – either personally or through extensive network of contacts while requiring clients to only have a single point of contact.
  • One stop solution for all disputes with assistance provided at every step from pre-litigation planning and strategy all the way to execution, enforcement and/or settlement.

Intellectual Property

  • Represent several high profile clients – both foreign and Indian – in matters involving potential violation of intellectual property rights.
  • Particular expertise in handling matters pertaining to violation of trademarks, copyrights, designs, confidential information and trade secrets.

Corporate Law & Insolvency

  • Appear in all fora dealing with company law disputes including the National Company Law Tribunal, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Securities Appellate Tribunal, the High Courts in Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi and the Supreme Court.
  • Assist with disputes arising out of regulatory compliances with SEBI.
  • Represent clients in initiating/defending against winding up and insolvency proceedings – both under the Companies Act and under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

Regulatory Litigation

  • Extensive experience dealing with regulators in the electricity sector both in the renewable and non-renewable energy space, in proceedings before the state and central regulatory commissions, the High Courts in Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi and the Supreme Court.
  • Expertise in the area of competition law and represent the Competition Commission of India in a number of extremely contentious and high stakes matters.

Public Law

  • Significant experience challenging constitutionality of enactments and representing clients against governmental agencies in writ proceedings across the High Courts in Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi and in the Supreme Court.
  • Particular expertise representing clients in matters involving public tenders, education, animal rights and transportation.
  • Assist clients in matters involving administrative law issues including in proceedings before various administrative law tribunals and the High Court and Supreme Court.

Criminal Law

  • Represent both complainants and accused in prosecuting/defending charges relating to commission of economic offences, offences against the body and offences against property before various courts and investigative authorities in India.
  • Advise clients on pre-litigation strategy, including on the possibility of initiating and anticipating criminal proceedings.

Family Law

  • Represent parties in matrimonial disputes, including in matters pertaining to divorce, maintenance, domestic violence, child custody, succession and partition, and in any other related or ancillary proceedings including potential criminal action.
  • Appear in all fora including family courts, magistrate courts, High Courts and the Supreme Court.

Labour Law

  • Represent both employers and labour unions on a variety of labour law disputes including wrongful termination, payment of wages, wrongful strikes, etc. before the Labour Courts, Statutory Tribunals, High Courts and Supreme Court.
