Vasudha Sharma is a Partner at the Delhi office of the firm and has law degrees from National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) (BA LL.B. (Hons.), 2013), Oxford University (Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL), 2016) and Harvard University (LL.M., 2017). She is admitted to practice at the Indian Bar (2013) and New York Bar (2017).
Vasudha has been with Keystone Partners since 2017. She has previously worked in the Dispute Resolution team of Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. in Delhi.
At Keystone Partners, her areas of work include arbitration, constitutional law, insolvency, contractual, and consumer disputes. She has significant construction arbitration experience, having successfully represented a Chinese construction company against an Indian state-owned power utility in an ICC arbitration. She is currently representing a joint venture of a Spanish and Indian Contractor in a dispute arising out of the termination of an EPC contract for construction of an LNG Terminal with a total claim value of USD 2 Billion. She advisese an American Contractor in arbitration and insolvency disputes relating to works performed for construction of an LNG Terminal in India. The case involves complex legal questions of recovery of damages from an insolvent entity with arbitration and legal proceedings in India and the UK. She has also handled arbitration proceedings by a real estate developer with a total claim value of 2.2 Billion. She has represented a foreign court appointed receiver in a complex cross-border insolvency dispute with proceedings spread across Sweden, Ireland, Russia and India. Vasudha has also represented clients in constitutional matters, including as part of the team that successfully challenged the constitutional validity of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code on behalf of LGBTQ+ students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), and defending the constitutional validity of the Forests Rights Act before the Supreme Court of India.
